What is the National Spatial Plan?

The National Spatial Planning is a comprehensive scheme that takes into consideration the spatial dimension in directing development and the geographical distribution for economical and social activities. Meanwhile, achieves best utilization for potential resources through active interaction between different policies and planning practices. It does also highlight policies and broad lines directed to distribute investments spatially and sectoral. Moreover, the National Spatial Planning includes a comprehensive general national scheme for roads,  transportation and other basic infrastructure facilities within the national dimension

All the countries of the world need to have planning in different fields and at different levels in order to manage their resources optimally. However, this need increases in the Palestinian situation due to the insufficiency of resources and the instability of the geopolitical situation. Therefore, the Palestinian National Authority decided to prepare the first National Spatial Plan for Palestine to form one of the most important pillars of building this state on participatory basis by all ministries and institutions working in this area in a way that ensure the output to be from an independent administration
